What's New
An introduction to two recommended products from the Bologna office — CO-OP Italia Spaghetti and CO-OP Italian Tomatoes in Paper Packs
CO-OP Italia Spaghetti
Made with 100% Durum Wheat
In 1979, driven by the desire to "bring authentic Italian flavors to Japanese tables," we partnered with Coop Italia and began importing pasta. 2025 marks our 45th anniversary. At one point, we accounted for over 50% of imported pasta in Japan. While most pasta sold domestically at launch contained less than 100% durum wheat, CO-OP offered pasta made entirely from 100% durum wheat—just like authentic Italian products— from the very beginning.
1.7mm Features
Very popular in Japan and Italy, offering a well-balanced texture. Neither too thin nor too thick, it has a universally appealing texture. Boiling time is about 8 minutes, making it easy to achieve al dente (slightly firm to the bite).
1.3mm Features
Often called "spaghettini," it has a light texture and smooth mouthfeel. Boiling time is just 5 minutes, making it convenient when you're short on time. Ideal for cold summer pasta dishes or light appetizer plates. Also frequently used in Japanese-style pasta.

2025 harvest
CO-OP's 300g pack of tomatoes uses tomatoes harvested from the heart of the supply chain in Northern Italy.
I visited the tomato field every year to see how the tomatoes were growing.
